The steps you should follow in making your application are listed below. You
can use the printable version of our application form
to complete and post or fax to us or you can complete the online
version of the application form and submit directly from this website.
City
Business College is fully accredited by the British
Accreditation Council for Independent Further and Higher Education (BAC). Step
1 - Acceptance for a course - In order to be accepted for a particular
study programme offered by City Business College you must first answer the following
questions:
- Do you have qualifications and certificates that will be accepted
for studies in the UK?
(Students must have a minimum of 4 GCSEs and/or 'O'
levels or equivalent as a general entry qualification). Overseas students with
first degrees and work experience will be given preference. - Assuming you
are suitably qualified for acceptance on a course, do you have sufficient funds
(and/or a suitable sponsor) for College fees and living expenses for the duration
of your studies?
- Have you completed your application form correctly? Students
must enclose:
- Two passport photographs.
- Attested photocopies
of qualifications /certificates.
- Sponsor's letter.
- Minimum Deposit
(see current fees list), - payable to "City Business College".

Payment of fees. Overseas students are advised to pre-pay ONE FULL YEAR'S TUITION
FEES several months prior to the commencement of the course. This allows sufficient
time for correspondence with the College and also for your visa interview. British
students may locally confirm course places with the payment of a course deposit.

Overseas applications made less than six weeks before the start date will be automatically
transferred to the next starting date.
- Please send the completed application
form, together with the fees, by registered post to City Business College, 178
Goswell Road, London EC1V 7DT.
- OVERSEAS STUDENTS - If applying from overseas the payment of your fees can be made by International Money Order or by cheque drawn on a London bank and in GBP (sterling). You may also pay by direct bank transfer to City Business College at BARCLAYS, Barclays Bank PLC, 38 Islington Green, London N1 8EH, Bank Account number: 70389870, Branch Sort Code: 20-44-86, Swift code: BARC GB22, IBAN: GB86 BARC 2044 8670 3898 70.
- LOCAL STUDENTS - The payment of your fees can be made by cash or cheque payable to City Business College or with a credit or debit card and cash. Please note that we can not accept transfers from a UK Bank for students applying in Britain unless details can be verified.
Step 2 - Applying for your Student
Visa to enter the UKBritish High Commissions and Consulates throughout
the world will be pleased to assist genuine students wishing to travel to the
UK for full-time studies. Students must first obtain Form IM2 A (application
for United Kingdom Entry Clearance) from the local British Consulate Immigration
Section. Students will require the following documents in order to successfully
complete the application forms - please check the list: - Two passport
photographs.
- Valid passport.
- Final acceptance letter from City
Business College for your course, confirming starting date of studies and payment
of tuition fees.
- Payment of tuition fees. (Please note that payment of
the registration fee alone is not accepted by the British Immigration Authorities.)
Students are strongly advised to prepay tuition fees in full.
- Name and
address of sponsor and letter from sponsor to confirm that tuition fees and living
expenses will be covered.
- Provisional date of departure for London (airline
and arrival details).
Step 3 - Obtaining your UK Visa If
you have completed your checklist you may now submit your visa application form
- with visa fee in local currency - to the British High Commission or Embassy
who will arrange a date for an interview. (Please note that you may be asked questions
about the structure of the course and how it may benefit your career.) Students
from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Ghana, Gambia and Jamaica
are not eligible to travel directly to the UK without first obtaining a Visa at
the local British High Commission. Students with EU passports will not require
a Visa to enter the UK. Students from other countries may obtain a student
Visa at the Airport or Seaport of entry by providing the following documents,
but are advised to check the position with a British Embassy or Consulate before
departure:
A) Valid passport. B) Final acceptance letter to confirm payment
of tuition fees. C) In the case of a sponsored student, a letter confirming
sponsorship. D) Medical certificate. | Late ArrivalsStudents
are warned not to arrive after the start date of the course. Students may, however,
still join a course within 3 weeks from the start date for their course, with
permission in writing from the college.
